DESCRIPTION:The Global Solidarity Run is an initiative by Sanctuary Runne
 rs\, an Irish Solidarity-Through-Sport movement\, and supported by Irish 
 Aid\, the Ireland Funds and The European Commission that will see peopl
 e around the world run\, walk\, jog\, or roll to express solidarity with p
 eople living in extreme poverty.\nOn Saturday October 11th\, join the Cons
 ulate General of Ireland\, Los Angeles on a run/walk marking 51 years of I
 rish Aid.\nIrish Aid is the Government of Ireland’s development cooperat
 ion programme\, which works with partners around the world to tackle pover
 ty\, hunger and humanitarian need in over 130 countries.\n\nWe will begin 
 our run at the Santa Monica Pier\, and the Menotti’s Coffee Shop in Veni
 ce Beach will serve as our terminus! This is approximately 2.2 miles (3.5 
 kilometers). There is no set time in which you should complete this distan
 ce. There will be running\, jogging\, and walking groups\, please go at wh
 ichever speed you are comfortable.\n\nRegistered attendees will receive an
