About this Event: Every Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM, starting June 28, 2023, participants are invited to the Health Walks organized by the Hollywood-Wilshire Wellness Community. The event entails a 30-minute stroll around the neighborhood accompanied by Public Health nurses. Attendees will receive complimentary t-shirts and water bottles, subject to availability. Regular physical activity, such as brisk walking or dancing, provides substantial health benefits, including protection against heart disease, stroke, diabetes, depression, and various types of cancer. These benefits extend to individuals who are overweight or obese, even if weight loss is not achieved. Physical activity enhances quality of life, and productivity, and reduces healthcare costs.
