Join us for an oceanfront Wisdom Circle, where we explore the profound lessons Nature offers about death and life. At elemental, we believe that true wellness begins by reconnecting with our authentic selves and the natural world. This retreat provides a unique opportunity to reflect on the cycles of loss and renewal, guided by the wisdom of Nature.
Death can take many forms: the loss of identity, ability, loved ones, or the life you once knew. In the natural world, death is not an end but a part of a generative cycle. Leaves fall to the ground and become nourishment for new life. By observing these processes in Nature, we can learn to approach our own experiences of loss with openness and acceptance. Together, we will lean on the power of community and the strength of the natural world to discuss this often intimidating topic.
The intention of this retreat is to help participants draw inspiration from the “other-than-human” world—trees, sand, waves, birds, insects, and more—about both dying and living. It’s an invitation to honor what needs to be released, and to metaphorically “compost” the past so that we can move forward with new growth.
Led by Julieann and Julia, the retreat will open with a brief introduction to set the tone for the day and establish how we will share in this collective experience. Afterward, the floor will be opened for everyone to engage and share their personal reflections.
The retreat will take place on the sand, so participants are encouraged to dress accordingly. The exact location will be provided upon registration, and bathroom facilities will be available on-site.
Come immerse yourself in Nature, community, and conversation, as we explore the cycles of life and death through the wisdom of the world around us.
