Prepare for a culinary adventure like no other at the L.A. Times Food Bowl, a three-day weekend celebration showcasing the best of Los Angeles’ vibrant dining scene. This event, curated by the L.A. Times Food section, offers an unparalleled experience featuring the city’s top restaurants, live cooking demonstrations, and unlimited food and drink.
With ticket options ranging from $160 for General Admission to $600 for an all-weekend VIP pass, attendees can indulge in a wide array of culinary delights while enjoying exclusive access to all events and demonstrations. Each evening is dedicated to a unique theme, with the following lineup:
Friday, September 20th: Restaurant of the Year and Gold Awards (8–11pm, 21+)
The weekend kicks off with a celebration of Baroo, the 2024 Restaurant of the Year, and Mariscos Jalisco, the Gold Award honoree. Both restaurants will offer specially curated bites, with VIP guests receiving exclusive samples. Featured participants include Amiga Amore, Azizam, Cento, Jitlada, Luv2Eat Thai Bistro, Perilla LA, and Mírate. The night will also feature live cooking demonstrations by Josh Scherer from “The Mythical Cookbook” and Di Di’s Tue Nguyen, also known as Twaydabae, with more performers to be announced.
Saturday, September 21st: Culinary Showcase (7–10pm, 21+)
Saturday’s event highlights some of L.A.’s most exciting culinary talents, including Baroo, Bar Chelou, Budonoki + Mini Kabob, Luv2Eat Thai Bistro, and Trophies Burger Club. Attendees will also enjoy live performances by Lish Steiling, author of “A Confident Cook,” and Owen Han, the “Sandwich King,” with additional acts to be announced.
Sunday, September 22nd: Family Food Fest (Noon–3pm, All Ages; VIP Area 21+)
The weekend concludes with a family-friendly feast on Sunday. VIP guests will be treated to exclusive offerings from Damian, while all attendees can savor dishes from Petit Trois, Ceci’s Gastronomia, and Baroo. The day will also feature live performances and cookbook signings by culinary legends like Nancy Silverton, author of “The Cookie that Changed My Life,” and Sara Kramer and Sarah Hymanson, authors of “Kismet: Bright, Fresh, Vegetable-Loving Recipes,” with more to be announced.
