Get ready for a hands-on culinary experience! This workshop invites participants to immerse themselves in the art of classic Italian sauce-making, with ingredients prepped by Eataly’s kitchen. Under the guidance of La Scuola’s chef, attendees will learn to prepare three iconic sauces while also enjoying a curated antipasto prepared by the chef. After creating their dishes, participants can savor their freshly made pasta straight from the oven.
A well-made pasta dish requires just the right amount of sauce, and the key to mastering Italian cuisine at home lies in using quality ingredients and balancing them properly. In this workshop, participants will explore the simplicity and elegance of traditional Italian sauces, each made with just a handful of ingredients.
The class is designed to teach the techniques behind three beloved sauces: Pesto Genovese, Cacio e Pepe, and Pomodoro. Participants will be taken step-by-step through the process, enabling them to recreate these dishes with confidence in their own kitchens.
In this workshop, participants will:
- Gain an understanding of how classic Italian sauces are best paired with specific pasta shapes.
- Learn about essential ingredients for crafting homemade sauces from scratch.
- Prepare and enjoy three authentic pasta sauces: Pesto Genovese, Cacio e Pepe, and three variations of Pomodoro.
- Delight in each dish paired with complementary wine and prosecco, enhancing the culinary experience.
- Receive a take-home recipe booklet with adapted notes on the sauces made in class.
Additional Information:
- Class size is limited to 8 participants for an intimate, hands-on experience.
- Each workstation will accommodate two people, so larger groups will be split and paired with other guests.
- Age restrictions: Participants must be 12 or older. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
- No physical tickets are needed—e-tickets will be emailed for check-in.
- Guests planning to consume alcohol must present valid government-issued ID showing they are 21 or older.
